Ogun @50: Prince Oriola Adeyemi Felicitates Gov. Abiodun, Ogun Indigenes

Prince Olawale Yusuf Adeyemi-Oriola (Esq.) has extended warm felicitations to the sons and daughters of Ijebuland and Ogun State, at home and in the diaspora, as the state marks its 50th anniversary. He expressed optimism that the golden jubilee would usher in renewed peace, progress, and shared prosperity.

In his goodwill message, Prince Adeyemi-Oriola described himself as a proud Ijebu son whose life has been shaped by deep ancestral roots, rigorous education, and professional service. He reaffirmed his commitment to the enduring values of Ijebuland, values firmly rooted in tradition while remaining forward-looking in outlook.

As a member of the Olufadi/Obanlefa branch of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Prince Adeyemi-Oriola noted that Ogun State’s 50th anniversary represents a celebration of unity and the cumulative progress achieved through the dedication and sacrifices of past and present leaders.

He emphasized that responsible leadership requires respect for age-old customs alongside the skills needed to navigate modern governance and promote sustainable development.

The legal practitioner also felicitated with the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun, commending the administration for sustaining peace and stability across the state. He described the prevailing calm as a solid foundation for development and communal harmony, which has contributed to the successful celebration of the state’s golden jubilee.

“I heartily felicitate with the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and the great people of the Gateway State on the joyous occasion of your 50th anniversary.

“This golden jubilee is a proud milestone that reflects five decades of resilience, enterprise, and steady progress. From its rich cultural heritage to its pivotal role in Nigeria’s economic and intellectual life, Ogun State stands tall as a beacon of promise and possibility.

“Over the past fifty years, Ogun has distinguished itself through the industry of its people, the vision of its leaders, and an enduring commitment to education, innovation, and development. The strides recorded in infrastructure, commerce, and human capital testify to a collective determination to build a future anchored on opportunity, inclusiveness, and shared prosperity.

“As Ogun State marks this historic celebration, I join millions in wishing the Governor and all citizens continued peace, unity, and greater achievements in the years ahead. May this golden jubilee inspire renewed purpose, deepen our common bonds, and usher in an era of even greater progress for generations yet unborn. Congratulations to the good people of Ogun State on 50 years of excellence and impact.”

Prince Adeyemi-Oriola further noted that the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by residents is a product of effective governance, strategic coordination, and the cooperation of the people.

He added that Ijebuland, as a vital part of Ogun State, continues to record steady progress under the prevailing atmosphere of peace, stressing that leadership is defined by vision, influence, and the ability to inspire, rather than the mere exercise of authority.

“These qualities are clearly reflected in the current administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun. May God continue to guide and protect Ogun State and its people,” he said.

Prince Adeyemi-Oriola urged continued unity, patriotism, and collective commitment to the growth and greatness of Ogun State in the years ahead, wishing all indigenes a happy 50th anniversary celebration.
