As Ogun State marks its Golden Jubilee, we reflect on fifty years of purposeful leadership, dedicated stewardship, and steady development from inception to the present administration.
Since the creation of Ogun State on 3rd February, 1976, the state has been governed by sixteen (16) leaders comprising eleven (11) Military Administrators and five (5) Civilian Governors. Each, in their respective capacities, contributed to the political, economic, and social evolution of the Gateway State.

Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR (May 2019 – Incumbent) – APC
Over the decades, these leaders have laid foundations that define Ogun State today. Notably, under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, Ogun State has witnessed renewed dynamism, inclusive governance, infrastructural growth, and a bold vision that positions the state for a stronger future.
Ogun State at 50 stands as a testament to resilience, continuity, and progress.
