The Meeting Was Held On Sunday Night To Calm The Long-Running Political Tension Between The Minister Of The Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, And Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
For Days, The Outcome Of The Meeting Remained Unclear. None Of The Parties Involved Spoke Publicly About What Was Discussed And This Silence Fueled Speculation.
On Tuesday, Popular Businessman And Political Commentator, Isaac Fayose, Broke The Silence With Claims About What Transpired During The Meeting.
Speaking In A Video Shared On His Facebook Page, Fayose Said The Presidency Warned Wike To Stop Interfering In Governor Fubara’s Administration.
According To Him, President Tinubu Made It Clear That Fubara Remains The Political Leader Of The Ruling Party In Rivers State And Must Be Respected.
Fayose Stated That Wike Was Advised To Work With The Governor And Avoid Actions That Could Deepen The Crisis In The State.
“I Learnt That Presidency Has Warned Wike To Leave Fubara Alone. I Told You People That Fubara Is Not Going Anywhere.
“They Told Wike That Fubara Is The Leader Of Their Party In Rivers State And That He Should Carry Him Along Or Else He May Lose His Job.
“Those Who Know Wike Should Warn Him Very Well, I Don’t Want To Visit Him In Kuje Prison Like Emefiele”.
He Added That The Warning Was Firm And Meant To Restore Political Order In Rivers State.
