The Nigeria Police Council, NPC, has confirmed Tunji Disu as the Inspector-General of Police, IGP.

The Council confirmed Disu on Monday during a meeting at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu appointed Disu as acting IGP on February 24, 2026, after the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun.
