Reps Aspirant, Tolulope Phillips Commences Skills Acquisition Training For 400 Youths In Abeokuta South

A House of Representatives aspirant for Abeokata South Federal constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Chief  Tolulope Phillips (TP) has through his foundation commenced training of over 400 youths in various skills acquisition and developing leadership abilities.

The five days training holds from Monday 9th to Friday 13th of March, 2026 at his campaign office, Abiola way, Abeokuta, where loyal  party members and youths picked from ward 1 to 15 in the local government will be in attendance, and will be presented certificate at the end of the training.

The beneficiaries were trained on make up, fishery, catering and content creation, which is the part of the efforts of the reps hopeful in putting food on the table of many youths in the local government

According to him, the Skills Acquisition will enable them to influence their communities positively, stressing that the youths were the biggest assets of any country and should be consistently engaged in positive thinking and doing the right things at all times.

Chief Tolulope Phillips said "We have decided to put up this programme because we believe the biggest priority we have in our country today should be the engagement of our young people. It spells danger if the youth cannot be engaged, because the aged ones will be at risk"

He advised the youth to imbibe the right attitude, leadership skills and proper mentoring, which he said were the keys to guarantee their success in life.

“It is about empowering our young ones on identifying their skills and how they can develop them. Be among those whose lives will change today through this programme. God has given us the talent, discover it on time and make use of it.

“What is the gift that you have? Don’t bury your talent; make good use of it. Don’t wait for the government to come to you before you unveil your talent, let your determination push you. Get a mentor, because logic and philosophy cannot fix destiny. Determination and developing the right skills can fix destiny. Go for training, don’t stop reading"

He therefore said that the initiative is to empower the youths for sustainability, reducing  the high level of unemployment in his constituency.

The beneficiaries appreciated the kind gesture of Chief Tolulope Phillips, saying that this will go a long way in improving the lives of the people positively.
