Residents of Iworo, Ogbogbo and Igbeba communities in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of Ogun State, have expressed delight over the reconstruction and commissioning of the Iworo–Ogbogbo–Igbeba roads.

The project had continued to attract commendations from residents, community leaders and road users who described it as timely and impactful.

While speaking with journalists, a farmer, Mr. Lawal Fatai, said that the reconstruction would boost local business activities and commerce.

According to him, the improved road network would ease the transportation of agricultural produce to markets, enhance access to essential services and attract small-scale investments to the area.

A retired lecturer, Mr. Adelakun Toheeb, also expressed satisfaction with the project, stating that it reflects a responsive administration that listens to the yearnings of the people. He applauded the government’s commitment to constructing and rehabilitating road infrastructure across the State.

Also a community leader, Mr. Adetayo Ajaka, said the road project represents more than infrastructure. He described it as a restoration of dignity for residents, a catalyst for economic revival and improved quality of life within communities along the corridor.

Similarly, Mrs. Olayemi Adesoye, a resident, commended the State Government for prioritising road development. She described the project as both impactful and timely, adding that it would greatly enhance socio-economic growth and connectivity in the area.

A commercial driver, Mr. Nifemi Adekogbe, shared his relief, noting that government attention to road infrastructure had brought renewed hope to communities that had grappled with poor and impassable routes for decades. He added that the reconstructed road had reduced vehicle wear and tear and had improved travel time.

Residents unanimously agreed that the newly reconstructed Iworo–Ogbogbo–Igbeba Road stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to grassroots development and sustainable infrastructure advancement across the State.
