The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State chapter, has announced the senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District as its consensus governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made during an APC strategic caucus meeting held on Monday at the party secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The meeting, presided over by the party chairman, was attended by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun; the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; former governors, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and Otunba Gbenga Daniel; former deputy governors, Senator Gbenga Kaka and Alhaja Badru; former senator, Iyabo Anisulowo; members of the House of Representatives, including Hon. Olumide Osoba, Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, Hon. Isiaka, Hon. Adegbesan, and Hon. Akinosi; as well as members of the House of Assembly, party leaders, and other stakeholders.
