Odo-Owa Royal Stool Gains First Class Status

The ancient community of Odo-Owa in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State celebrated as His Royal Highness, Oba Joshua Adegbuyi Adeyemi, Adimula Odundun Asodedero, the Oloota of Odo-Owa Kingdom, was elevated to the prestigious status of a First Class King.

In a congratulatory message, Oyeyemi Adeniyi Olajide, a native son of the town, described the elevation as a long-anticipated and well-deserved recognition of the monarch’s leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the unity and development of his domain. He noted that the milestone is significant not only for the royal institution but also for the entire Odo-Owa community.

The statement highlighted Oba Adeyemi’s role in promoting peace, stability, and progress, describing his leadership as a source of inspiration for both current and future generations. It further recognized the collective efforts of the people of Orota land, acknowledging the contributions and sacrifices of individuals—past and present—who helped foster unity and growth in the community.

Urging residents to sustain the prevailing peace, Olajide emphasized that continued unity is essential for long-term communal progress. He concluded by praying for a longer, stronger, and more impactful reign for the monarch while congratulating him on the historic elevation.
