The member representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Olufemi Ogunbanwo, has written to his constituents to formally declare his intention to seek re-election to the National Assembly in Abuja.

This was conveyed in a letter signed by the federal lawmaker and made available to Infopalavanews.com.

In the letter, Ogunbanwo stated that he would continue to rely on his experience as a member of the 10th Assembly, as well as his previous role as Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs. He noted that these experiences have given him a broad perspective on the workings of both the Executive and Legislative arms of government.

The letter further reads:

My Dear Constituents,

NOTIFICATION TO RE-CONTEST AND SEEKING FOR YOUR SPECIAL SUPPORT.

I sincerely appreciate your support since my declaration and eventual victory at the polls to represent the people of Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in 2023. You have remained a worthy partner in the journey towards making life more abundant for our people.

As we walk this path together, I hereby respectfully inform you of my decision to offer myself, once again, towards the service of the people of Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency, in particular, and the people of Ogun State and Nigeria, in general, at the National Assembly (House of Representatives) in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections. I will be doing this as a candidate under our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In this regard, I will continue to count on my experience as a Member of the 10th Assembly, and, as a former Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and a Member of the Ogun State Executive Council, a former Students Union leader at the prestigious University of Lagos, NANS Senator, Officer of Ijebu-Ode Development Association (IDA) among others, in deciding to implement my vision not just for the Gateway State but for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. These experiences give me a bridge-view of the workings of both the Executive and Legislative Arms of Government, respectively. It has further strengthened my experience and deepened my commitment towards good governance towards a better Nigeria where everyone has ample opportunities for continued development.

Therefore, I hereby reach out to you as an important stakeholder who has continued to throw weights in my political ambition. I seek for your assistance in all ways possible to continue to give life to my vision. This you could do in many forms including advice, technical assistance, advocacy, etc. The electioneering process towards the 2027 General election will begin soonest according to the time-table released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). It is now incumbent on my person to raise a formidable campaign team to win the election, by God's grace. We have done it in the past; TOGETHER, WE CAN DO IT AGAIN.
