Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Finance and Appropriations has commenced the budget performance assessment for the first quarter on Ministries, Departments and Agencies with a commendation to the State Ministry of Information for its impressive revenue generation between January and March, 2026.
The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, alongside other lawmakers, gave the commendation, while interfacing with officials of the Ministry of Information and agencies under the Ministry led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communications, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, during the exercise held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Lamidi charged the Ministry and its agencies to sustain the tempo in revenue generation and service delivery towards supporting information dissemination and feedback management to aid the developmental agenda of the present administration.
Taking turn to present the budget performance of the State Television, the Deputy General Manager, Marketing and Sales, Mr. Gbenga Sebiomo, disclosed that the station had devised administrative ingenuity towards ensuring uninterrupted transmission on DSTV, GOTV, Facebook, YouTube and other streaming platforms despite the frequent shortage of gas supply affecting power generation as well as the high cost of electricity tariffs.
Also appearing before the Committee for the budget performance assessment were officials of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Qudus Adegboyega, as well as the State Broadcasting Corporation led by the Deputy General Manager, Programme Services, Mr. Gbenga Omotunde.
Also, the Committee examined the budget performance of the State Ministry of Health, Hospital Management Board and the State Alternative Medicine Board, State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OGSACA).
Others included Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, State Primary Health Care Development Board, State Health Insurance Agency, as well as that of State Hospitals, Ijaye, Ilaro, Ijebu-Ode and Ota.
