Stakeholders in the education sector have been called upon to go back to the drawing board to maintain the integrity of schools, and sustain already established norms for the betterment of the society at large.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka made the call when the Executive Members of the Abeokuta Grammar School Old Boys Association, AGSOBA Global, led by its 1st Vice President-General, Mrs. Abiona Morolari, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Head of Service to congratulate him on his appointment.
According to him, all the intentions of the founding fathers in the education sector must again be brought to the fore, as a lot of discrepancies have crept into the sector, which must be flushed out without further delays as integrity and sanity must be restored for overall development of the society.
He appreciated the AGSOBA family for the honour done him as his history in life cannot be completed without Abeokuta Grammar School because that was where his career started as a classroom teacher.
He celebrated the good memory of the Oyewole Twins for giving him an honorary award for his unflinching support and dedication to the development of the school where he served meritoriously for 12 years and thanked the delegation for the visit as it meant a lot to him.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, the first Vice President-General, AGSOBA Global, Mrs. Morolari said the delegation came because the Head of Service must be celebrated for the good legacies he left at the school, as he exhibited hard work, dedication and commitment to duties which has taken him this far and solicited that the rich experiences garnered over the years be put to use for the betterment of the Civil Service.
In the same vein, the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), led by the South West Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Ebun Atinuke, has appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the choice of the present Head of Service, as feelers around him since the HoS was appointed showed that Mr. Saka is a man of the people whose antecedents as a man of integrity, hard work and professionalism has brought to the exalted position as the 21st Head of Service.
Alhaji Atinuke also appreciated the State Government through the Office of the Head of Service for the numerous support the Institute has received in the past, especially in the area of capacity development where members were sponsored for training and retraining and solicited for more support as a lot of empowerment programmes have been earmarked to take members to greater heights in the course of the year and assured that service delivery would continue to be enhanced.
The Head of Service also received the Management Team of the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), led by its Director, Marketing and Business Development, Mr. Deinde Boye and the Ijebu Civil/Public Servants Forum led by its President, QS Abass Murebo.
