Residents of Tam Balogun and Luba/Stadium communities in Ijebu-Ode and Ijebu North East Local Government Areas of Ogun State have expressed delight over the reconstruction and commissioning of the once-deplorable Tam Balogun and Luba/Stadium roads.
The residents commended the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for improving their socio-economic wellbeing through the road projects.
Speaking with Journalists, Imam Mikhail Rufai, recalled that the roads had been in a deplorable condition for years, causing severe hardship for motorists and hampering economic activities in the affected communities. He therefore appreciated the State government for reconstructing the roads and not just restoring the economic value of the area, but had improved it significantly.
The cleric urged residents of Luba and adjoining communities to continue supporting the present administration in its efforts to deliver more developmental projects, while expressing gratitude to Governor Abiodun for fulfilling his promise through the road reconstruction.
Also speaking, Mr. Akanni Sunday, expressed satisfaction with the transformation of the Tam Balogun and Luba roads into accessible routes, noting that the development would create greater economic opportunities and boost business activities in the area.
Also reacting, a commercial driver, Mr. Tayo Olukoga, stated that the newly commissioned roads would ease transportation challenges, improve mobility for road users and stimulate socio-economic growth in the communities.
Similarly, a tricycle operator, Mr. Jide Ajayi, observed that the roads would facilitate the smooth movement of goods and services, reduce travel stress and eliminate the loss of productive hours caused by poor road conditions.
The residents collectively lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to infrastructural development and reaffirmed their support for his administration.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, disclosed that the reconstruction of the roads was in fulfillment of Governor Abiodun’s pledge to extend the dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the State.
He assured residents that the administration remained committed to delivering quality, durable and accessible road infrastructure while leaving a legacy of impactful social interventions that would positively affect the lives of the people and boost the State’s economy.
