Ogun Commissioner, Bolu Owotomo Meets PDP Decampees In Ijebu North-East




... Urges Massive Grassroot Mobilization For All APC Candidates





The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security in Ogun state, Ogbeni Bolu Owotomo on Friday played host to over 500 PDP decampees in Ijebu North East local government area of the state.


The well-attended event which held at his countryhome in Iworo Ijebu was attended by LG Chairman, Hon Folusho Badejo, incumbent House of Assembly, Hon Seun Adesanya, the APC Assembly candidate in the 2027 election, Hon Seun Oretuga and several cheiftains.


In his welcome address, Hon Bolu Owotomo commended them for ditching their former party for All Progressives Congress, APC, describing it as a bold and patriotic decision, stressing further that the defection underscored the growing concerns among the people.


He assured them a level playing ground in the party, charging them to play a significant role in making sure all candidates of the party ranging from the top echelon to the grassroot are elected into their respective positions in 2027.


According to him, the people should ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reelection, Sen Yayi's governorship bid, the Ogun East Senatorial ambition of Prince Dapo Abiodun and all others comes into fruition.


He added that "it is through this kind gesture, the various dramatic transformation of the APC could continue unabated", Owotomo concluded.


'The beauty of democracy is service delivery to the mass of the people, and we are grateful and happy, our party APC has been forthcoming in this direction', Owotomo added.


In a similar development, the APC Chieftain also had separate meetings with APC stakeholders, party and ward leaders, the women folks in a bid to intensify door-to-door and ward level campaigns in order to strenghten grassroot mobilisation ahead of 2027 elections.
