The career of the outgoing Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Civil Service, Mrs. Kehinde Akinola is said to be defined by dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to excellence, which stood her out as a distinguished administrator.

The Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka made this known in a goodwill message delivered at the statutory retirement thanksgiving service in honour of the retiring Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Protocol and Ceremonials, held at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Onikolobo, Abeokuta.

The Head of Service said the unique journey she had in the Civil Service was moulded by the formative years she had in the classroom as a teacher who  nurtured young minds and shaped future generations, and added that the period instilled enduring values of discipline, integrity, patience and selfless service which helped her to discharge her duties meritoriously.

Mr. Saka said Mrs. Akinola's invaluable contributions to the growth of the Ogun State Public Service and the successful coordination of government programmes have earned her admiration and respect of colleagues, stakeholders and everyone who had the privilege of working with her.

 Mr. Saka on behalf of  the entire State Civil and Public Service congratulated her on the remarkable milestone in the Service and wished her a rewarding and fulfilling retirement. 

In the Thanksgiving Sermon, the Resident Pastor, Revd. Segun Adenowo, described Mrs. Akinola as a diligent person who possesses the ability to manage all assigned responsibilities without failing in any and appreciated the State Governor for giving her the opportunity to prove her worth in her career.

Revd. Adenowo charged the retiree to continue to make God her focus, remain diligent and dependable as she now has ample time to serve God without any hindrance.

Family and church members, colleagues, friends and well wishers showered encomiums on her while giving testimonies about her and urged her to  remain being good and exceptional.

In a similar vein, at a valedictory session held for her by the Body of Permanent Secretaries, at the conference hall of the Head of Service at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Head of Service described Mrs. Akinola as a pillar and an institution in matters of protocol and ceremonials, and added that her level of consultation on the job was a topnotch.

The former Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Toyin Taiwo, who was in attendance said Mrs. Akinola having worked directly with him has done wonderfully well in her career as the Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Protocol and Ceremonials.

He urged her not to leave the service despite her retirement as she may be called upon anytime to lend her expertise and experience to the Service when the need arises.

Other Permanent Secretaries also paid glowing tributes to her one after the other and prayed for her as she bows out of Service.
