Urges New Leadership to Prioritise Unity, Peace and Sustainable Development of Iperu
Dr. Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, First Female Accountant-General of the Federation and Founder/Chairperson of the Olowo Oloye Foundation for Empowerment and Education, has congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee of the Iperu Akesan Development Association (IDA) on their emergence at the Association’s election held on Saturday, 22nd August 2026, in Iperu Remo.
In a congratulatory statement issued and made available to the media by her Consultant on Media, Temitope OYEKAN, Dr. MADEIN extended her heartfelt felicitations to all the elected officers, including both the re-elected and newly elected members, and wished them a successful, rewarding and impactful tenure.
She particularly congratulated Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO, President of the Association, on his re-election to lead the new executive, describing his return to office as an opportunity to consolidate on the achievements of previous administrations and advance the development agenda of Iperu Akesanland.
Dr. MADEIN also felicitated Prince Stephen Oluwole ADEKALU, Vice President of the Association and her Giwa in the Blessed Bomode Oku Society, her traditional age-grade group and society.
She further congratulated Prince Victor Gbolahan OSO, General Secretary, whom she described as her brother and Project Coordinator of the Olowo Oloye Foundation for Empowerment and Education, as well as Alhaji Ade Nureni AMUSA, FCA, Financial Secretary, who also serves as Coordinator of the Ansar-ur-Deen Primary School, Iperu Old Pupils Association.
According to her, she was using the distinguished personalities as her Points of Contact to extend her warmest greetings and best wishes to the entire executive team.
Dr. MADEIN commended the Iperu Akesan Development Association for its contributions over the years to the growth, development and welfare of Iperu Remo, noting that the achievements recorded by the Association under successive administrations, including its current initiatives, remain a testament to the commitment of its leadership and members to the collective advancement of the community.
She urged the new executive to remain determined, focused, united and dedicated to the ideals of service, stressing that Iperu needs a development association that will continue to provide purposeful leadership, build bridges of unity, promote inclusiveness and champion initiatives capable of positively impacting the lives of the people.
The former Accountant-General of the Federation particularly encouraged the new leadership to build on the achievements of previous administrations, sustain ongoing projects, initiate new and impactful programmes, and continue to place the progress, unity, peace and sustainable development of Iperu above every other consideration.
"Leadership is a call to service,” she noted, expressing confidence that with collective commitment, mutual respect and purposeful collaboration, the new executive would record remarkable achievements and take the Iperu Akesan Development Association to greater heights.
Dr. MADEIN once again congratulated Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO and the entire elected executive, praying that God would grant them wisdom, strength, good health and the spirit of cooperation as they discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them.
She wished the new executive a peaceful, impactful and successful tenure, adding that their service would further strengthen the unity, progress and development of Iperu Akesanland.
