Senator Yayi's Vision for Agriculture Is Clear – Yayi Tractor Users Association

Beneficiaries of Senator Olamilekan Adeola's agricultural empowerment initiatives, under the aegis of the Yayi Tractor Users Association and All Beneficiaries of Yayi Agricultural Empowerment , have commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for his sustained investment in farmers and agricultural development across Ogun State.

The beneficiaries, who received various empowerment items during the 2025 agricultural empowerment programme, described Senator Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a leader whose commitment to improving farmers' livelihoods has brought lasting economic benefits to rural communities across the state.

Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries in Ijebu Ode Local Government, Mr. Samuel Oyelayo, a member of the Prestigious Farmers Group, explained that the tricycle he received has significantly reduced transportation costs on his cassava farm.

According to him, the tricycle has become a source of additional income as he also makes it available to other farmers for transporting produce. During the Ileya festive period, he earned substantial income by using it to transport livestock, further improving his family's economic wellbeing.

Oyelayo noted that Senator Yayi's vision for agriculture is practical and impactful, adding that farmers across the state remain firmly behind his governorship ambition because of his sincerity and unwavering support for the agricultural sector.

The beneficiaries also applauded the senator's continued commitment to empowering farmers through the distribution of additional agricultural equipment and support packages during the 2026 empowerment programme.

They pledged their support for his governorship bid, stressing that although they are not politicians, they would mobilise support within their communities in appreciation of the positive impact his interventions have made on their lives.

Similarly, Mrs. Elizabeth Kalejaiye from Odogbolu Local Government recounted how the power tiller she received has transformed her tomato farming enterprise.

She said the equipment has greatly improved her productivity and reduced the physical stress associated with land preparation. Mrs. Kalejaiye also praised the tractor service initiative, describing agricultural mechanisation as a game changer that has made farming easier, faster, and more affordable.

"I had never used a tractor to prepare my farmland before. Everything was done manually. Today, mechanisation has made farming much easier and more affordable for me," she said.

Also speaking, Chief Sunday Adeleye Adedeji, Baale Agbe, Imeko in Imeko-Afon Local Government, expressed profound appreciation to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) for what he described as an unprecedented commitment to agricultural development and farmers' welfare in Ogun State.

According to him, Senator Yayi's farmers' empowerment programme, through which each Local Government in Ogun West received a tractor, tricycle, and other modern agricultural implements, has significantly transformed farming activities across the zone.

He noted that the intervention has reduced the burden on farmers, improved farm operations, and increased agricultural productivity in farming communities and clusters.

Chief Adedeji described the empowerment programme as the most impactful agricultural intervention he has witnessed in his lifetime.

"Honestly, many of us can boldly say, 'Kò ṣẹ́lẹ̀ rí'—we have never witnessed this kind of practical support for farmers before. Since I was born, I have not seen a leader demonstrate this level of genuine concern for the farming community. Your actions have shown that you truly value farmers and understand the importance of agriculture to our economy."

He commended Senator Yayi for his generosity, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to empowering farmers, praying that Almighty God would continue to grant him good health, wisdom, strength, and greater success in all his aspirations.

Chief Adedeji further stated that farmers across the area are prepared to reciprocate the senator's goodwill by mobilising their members, families, and communities in support of his governorship ambition, describing him as a leader whose performance has earned the trust and confidence of the farming community.

Concluding the interview, he reaffirmed the farmers' appreciation, declaring, "Yayi jọ̀ọ́! Yayi jàre!", while praying that Almighty God would continue to bless and strengthen the Distinguished Senator as he continues to champion agricultural development and rural prosperity across Ogun State.

The former beneficiaries also encouraged the newly empowered farmers to maximise the opportunities provided through the programme by putting the equipment and other empowerment items to productive use.

Collectively, the beneficiaries reaffirmed their solidarity with Senator Yayi and expressed profound appreciation for what they described as his strategic, farmer-focused empowerment initiatives. They maintained that the Yayi Tractor Users Association and All Beneficiaries of Yayi Agricultural Empowerment  stands as evidence of his commitment to agricultural transformation, improved rural livelihoods, and food security in Ogun State.
