Starting with Igbore-Oba Ward 13, 135 Polling Unit Strikers mobilized for Tinubu, Yayi, Other APC Candidates towards 2027 General Elections. 

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Youth Development, Hon. Babatunde Delu has launched grassroots campaigns across all wards in Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This is part of his preparations for a mobilisation campaign in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, APC Governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi and other all other APC candidates in the Local Government.

The event which held on Friday had in attendance the party chairman of the local government, Hon. Henry Fagbenro, the current of House of Representatives Member, Hon. Moruf Afolabi Afuape, A member of Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Abeokuta South State Constituency II, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele, IWA, former Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Shomide, popularly known as AYSHO, APC  House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi, former House of Assembly member, Hon. Allen Taylor, Councillor, representing ward 13, Abeokuta South LG, Hon. Jasul, Councillor, representing ward 9, Hon. Ninalowo, Councillor, representing ward 15 and some other Councillors present and other political heavyweights within Abeokuta South Local Government.

Delu commenced the launch of the grassroots mobilization in Ward 13 of Abeokuta South Local Government and unveiled 135 Polling Unit Strikers,  8 zone supervisors. 2 per each zones and 4 ward coordinators.

According to our correspondent present at the event, Delu and  APC members in their large numbers staged awareness walk for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates to mobilise grassroots backing for them.

According to Delu, the move is to mobilise massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  the APC Governorship candidate,  Senator Olamilekan Adeola, populary known as Yayi, Senator Afolabi Salisu, Hon Moruf Afolabi Afuape, Hon Adeyemi Ademuyiwa and Hon Lukman Atobatele in the local government come the 2027 general elections. 

Abiodun's aide while speaking with newsmen during the event said that the initiative would be extended to other wards in the local government, saying that his mission is to ensure all APC candidates emerge victorious.

He maintained that the functions of the 135 Polling Unit Strikers, supervisors and cordinators is to preach the gospel of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi and other APC candidates, urging them to work relentlessly and ensure landslide victory fpr all APC candidates.

Delu said" This programme as put together is called Abeokuta South Polling Unit Strikers. This is to mobilise massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Governorship candidate and other APC candidates who are,  the House of Representatives Member and candidate, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, the Senatorial candidate, Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Shuaib Salisu, the House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi. APC at the State level has appointed 10 members at polling units and we thought that we should support that effort. What we are doing here is that we have appointed 135 polling unit strikers, 8 zone supervisors. 2 per each zones and 4 ward coordinators. We commenced this in ward 13, Igbore-Ago oba, this is my ward , we have 27 polling units. Our objective is to preach the gospel of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda Mantra Evangelism, to  support  the Governorship ambition of Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, all our APC candidates. We will work relentlessly in ensuring their victory in 2027. I want to tell you that the Strikers are ready to work and deliver the APC candidates" he concluded 

The Chairman of the party in the Local Government, Hon. Henry Fagbenro, popularly known as Agbomola said that APC in the State remains unbeatable, saying that all APC candidates stand a chance to win at the poll.

He commended Abiodun's aide for coming up with a programe like this, describing as as timely.

In his speech, the House of Representatives Candidate for APC, Hon. Afolabi Afuape commended the move by Delu in ensuring the victory of all APC candidates.

He maintained that Delu has distinguished himself from others in his commitment towards the progress of the party.

Also, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu, a House of Assembly member, representing Abeokuta South State Constituency II maintained that Delu has made the people of Abeokuta South proud with his great initiative.

He submitted that the initiative will go a long way in achieving landslide victory for all APC candidates.
