The Special Adviser and Managing Director of the Ogun State Waste Management Authority, OGWAMA,Hon Farouk Akintunde has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Security Committee of the Ogun State All Progressive Congress APC Campaign Council for the 2027 General Election.

      Akintunde,a seasoned and astute politician, Seriki Ijeun,a member of Egba Regency Committee is an executive member of the Police Community Relations Committee PCRC - a non-profit organisation established in 1984 by the Nigeria Police Force to bridge the gap between the Police and the public in the South- West where he served in several capacities such as Zonal Public Relations Executive and later the  Vice Chairman of the zone.

   In Ogun state,Hon Farouk Akintunde had previously served as Supervisory Councillor for Works,Abeokuta South Local Government, Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Environment, Chairman,Ogun State Taskforce on Environment Compliance and Enforcement and Special Adviser to the Governor On Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency,OGEPA and  currently the Special Adviser and Managing Director of the Ogun State Waste Management Authority, OGWAMA.

     Reacting to his appointment,Hon Farouk Akintunde thanked the  All Progressive Congress for the confidence repose in him to serve in the prestigious committee saying that he and his other colleagues in the committee will do their best to justify the confidence repose in them by the party .

   Other members of the Security Committee are Retired Assistant inspector General of Police Subair who will serve as  Chairman of the committee and Retired Commissioner of Police Ajogun who will serve as Vice chairman 2 of the committee
