……..Movement shifts rally from Wednesday to Friday...

The Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM), a political support group in Ogun State, has announced the rescheduling of its Ogun-East Mega Rally from Wednesday, October 28, to Friday, October 30, 2026.

The movement disclosed this in a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Department on Tuesday, October 27, explaining that the adjustment was necessary to allow for further coordination and fine-tuning of arrangements for the programme.

According to the statement, the venue and time of the mega rally remain unchanged, with the event scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the previously announced venue.

The movement also announced that the solidarity trek ahead of the rally would begin at 7:00 a.m. at Mobalufon Under Bridge, Ijebu-Ode.

Participants are expected to undergo the necessary accreditation procedures as part of the exercise. The organisers urged members and supporters to arrive early and cooperate with designated officials to ensure an orderly process.

While expressing regret over any inconvenience caused by the change of date, YPM appealed to its members, supporters, stakeholders and well-wishers to take note of the revised schedule and make the necessary adjustments to their plans.

The movement reaffirmed its commitment to unity, mutual understanding, effective coordination and constructive engagement among its members and stakeholders, stressing the importance of cooperation in achieving its objectives.

It also expressed appreciation to its members and supporters for their patience, understanding and continued cooperation, while expressing hope for a successful and well-coordinated programme.
