To further ensure improved service delivery in the Civil Service, the Chairman, Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi has reaffirmed the agency's commitment to equity and fairness in the process of performing its statutory functions.

Odebunmi stated this in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, during the in-house training organised for Administrative Officers in the Commission, noting that it was imperative to implement government’s policies and programmes with objectivity, to enable the present administration achieve its agenda.

          He admonished the Officers to be diligent, resourceful and productive, adding that they should be trustworthy and avoid any action devoid of sentiment in the course of discharging their duties.

          Speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mr. Adedayo Somoye said the training would widen the capacity, knowledge and understanding of administrative staff for the betterment of the entire workforce.

      Also speaking, the resource person, Director of Appointment and Transfer in the Commission, Mr. Adewale Obasan who spoke on Procedures and Relevant Enabling Authorities (laws, rules and regulation), highlighted condition for appointments, transfer, promotion and placement of officers in respect of year of certification, among others.

          Obasan urged the agency to sustain and extend the training to other cadres for efficient service delivery, adding that the Public Servants should also familiarise themselves with the rudiments of the Service.

In their responses, two of the participants, Mr. Omotayo Lukas and Miss Funmilopeda Odumusi appreciated the management for the training, saying the knowledge gained would build their confidence  and add value to their schedule of duty.
