The Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, Oba (Dr.) AbdulGaniyu Olusegun Awokoya-Yesufu has congratulated the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on the adoption of Tai Solarin University of Education as one of the Federal University of Education in Nigeria.
Oba Awokoya-Yesufu while commending the Governor on the good development, said that achievement was a significant milestone and a testament to the Governor's investment in the Education sector in the State.
His words, "I will like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to your
excellency on the adoption of Tai Solarin University of Education by the Federal Government. This achievement is a significant milestone and a testament to Your Excellency’s investment in the Education sector in the State.
"There is no gain saying that the Institution, since its inception in 2005 has been the first of its kind in Nigeria placing Ogun State on the landscape of academic excellence among the comity of States as well as preserving the legacies of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Pa Tai Solarin. It is worthy of note to state that this giant stride is a reflection of your dedication to the advancement of education in the State, particularly Ijebuland".
The monarch who posited that the Governor's persistent efforts in the development of Ogun State has left an indelible mark in the hearts of Nigerians said that, he was confident that the State under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun would be the education hub and destination of choice for investment, adding that only a dedicated leader like him could have accomplished such a feat while consistently showing genuine care for the progress and well-being of the people as exemplified in the Governor's leadership and foresight.
"I am convinced beyond words that this development will pave way for the realization of your long-term vision for the Oba Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology. Your unwavering commitment to education and progress is truly commendable, and I believe that this project will thrive under your thoughtful guidance", Oba Awokoya-Yesufu said.
