President Bola Tinubu on Thursday departed Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city for Kaduna State on a one-day working visit.
The president visited the state to commission a newly constructed Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun and open a 300-bed hospital in Millennium City in Kaduna.
He would also unveil various critical infrastructural projects, including Kaduna’s rollout of CNG buses, aimed at boosting the transportation system across the state.
In a statement made on X, the president said he would be joining the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani to commission these projects.
He said the present government in the state is clearly showing what every government at the subnational level should do.
His words, “What Kaduna is doing is a clear sign of what is possible when subnational governments are empowered, trusted, and supported from the centre to do more.
“Our administration will continue to unlock the potential of every state to serve their people boldly and effectively,” Tinubu said.
He further noted that his administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda is taking a bet on the future of Nigeria and her people.
The president’s visit to Kaduna came barely 24 hours after he visited Makurdi, Benue State’s capital city.
Tinubu was in Makurdi on Wednesday to commiserate with the government of the state and victims of the Yelewata community where over 200 farmers and members of their households were killed by suspected armed herdsmen.
