The Anowoneyo Area Community Development Association (AACDA) in Irete-Ijebu has officially inaugurated a new set of executive members to steer the affairs of the community for the next tenure.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the palace of the Onirete of Irete-Ijebu palace, drew the attendance of traditional leaders, community elders, youth representatives, and officials from the Ministry of Community and Cooperative development.
In his opening remarks, the outgoing Chairman, Otunba Saheed Dosumu, expressed gratitude to the community for their support throughout his tenure.
He highlighted the association’s achievements, including community empowerment, community growth, sustainable development, improved security collaboration, and youth empowerment initiatives.
“I am confident that the new executives will build on the foundation we’ve laid and take Anowoneyo to greater heights,” Otunba Dosumu stated.
The newly inaugurated Chairman, Chief Yahyah Ayodele, pledged to prioritize infrastructural development, community unity, and increased engagement with government agencies.
“This is a call to serve, and we are fully committed to advancing the interests of every resident in Anowoneyo,” He said during her acceptance speech.
Other members of the new executive team include Missn. Jubreel Biodun (Vice Chairman), Mr. Samsudeen Rufai(Secretary), Chief Moshood Ibrahim (Treasurer), and Mrs. Funmilayo Bakare (Welfare Officer), among others.
The Ministry CDC representative, Mr. Jimoh Jamiu, congratulated the new officers and encouraged continued collaboration between the community and government for sustainable development.
The Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, Oba Dr.Abdul Ganiyu Awokoya-Yesufu charge the new Executive to be steadfast and build on the foundation the outgoing Executive laid.
Kabiyesi then prays for the success of the new administration and unity within the Anowoneyo community.
