The Chairman, Epe Local Government, Hon. Surah Olayemi Animashaun in partnership with the Shoulders of Support Charitable Organisation (SSCO) says it will empower no fewer than 200 widows, on Thursday, 14.

In a release signed by the council Chairperson, and made available to newsmen, indicated that the progamme tagged; "Life Changing Programme," will be held at the Council Secretariat,  Ita-Marun, commence by 10am.

According to the statement, the scheme is a testament to her administration’s unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, social welfare and the economic advancement of vulnerables groups. 

The statement further indicated that it is beyond the distribution of resources, but the initiative will provide sustainable support that promotes dignity, independence, and long-term prosperity for the widows. 

It also said that widows were pillars of strength in every community, however, it is imperative to treat them with care, not in sympathy, but in solidarity, equipping them with the tools to thrive and flourish. 

The release further promises to be a moment of inspiration, unity,  and renewed hope demonstrating that in Epe, no one is to be left behind.
