The Kakanfo of Awujale, Chief Abimbola Okenla, has affirmed that Chief Balogun Adegoke Olaoye is the only authentic Jaginrin of Ijebu-Ode.

Chief Okenla made this known during an interview with our correspondent in Ijebu-Ode.

According to him, the only Jaginrin recognized by the Awujale Interregnum Council is Chief Balogun Adegoke Olaoye.

In his words, “We cannot have two Jaginrin in Ijebu-Ode. The only recognized one is Chief Balogun Adegoke Olaoye, and he has completed his seclusion. I can confirm that the Jaginrin and the Apebi, Engr. Kunle Ogunade, visited the Awujale Interregnum Council at the palace yesterday.”

Reports indicate that the Apebi, the Jaginrin, and the Mogeesu will be sworn in by the Awujale Interregnum Council on Friday.
