In A Statement Issued By Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director General Of Media And Publicity At Government House Kano, Governor Yusuf Was Said To Have Formally Briefed The President On What He Described As Pressing Challenges And Opportunities In Kano.
According To Bature, The Governor Raised Alarm Over The Worsening Insecurity In Parts Of The State, Pointing To The Recent Killing Of A Housewife And Her Children As Evidence Of The Urgent Need For Federal Support To Strengthen Security Operations And Protect Residents.
He Said Yusuf Highlighted The Activities Of The Kano State Neighbourhood Watch Corps, Noting That The Outfit Has Been Working To Complement Conventional Security Agencies. The Governor Reportedly Urged Stronger Collaboration With Federal Security Institutions To Improve Response And Intelligence-Driven Operations Across Affected Areas.
The Statement Also Indicated That Governor Yusuf Discussed Kano’s Broader Development Agenda With The President, With Emphasis On Mega Infrastructure Projects Capable Of Stimulating Economic Growth.
