Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-Corruption, chaired by Hon. Damilare Bello, has continued the consideration of the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report on the State Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as part of its oversight functions in monitoring the utilisation of public finances to promote accountability and transparency.
The Committee while examining the auditor General's report on the State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, directed the management led by the Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, to provide supporting documents and contract files for all roads and bridges constructed during the period under review.
The House Committee also requested the Ministry to submit relevant documents on the Airport Project and reconcile its records in line with the Auditor-General’s report.
Similarly, the State Ministry of Health led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Kayode Oladehinde also appear for the consideration of the audit report of the Ministry, where it was directed to present its fixed asset register alongside supporting documents on the Save One Million Lives Project.
In the same vein, the State Building Production Management Authority, led by Acting General Manager Mrs. Titilayo Oladogbon and the State Broadcasting Corporation, led by the Deputy General Manager, Programme Services, Mr. Gbenga Omotunde, appeared before the Committee for the consideration of their audit report.
