The Omoluabi Movement has continued its grassroots engagement and stakeholder consultations with a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, the Olu of Itori, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The visit, aimed at strengthening ties with traditional institutions and seeking royal blessings, formed part of the movement’s ongoing efforts to build relationships across communities.
The delegation led by the Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Sobayo Adesina, popularly known as Alaga Mesan, alongside the State Secretary, Hon. Olatunji Oloyede, the Ewekoro Local Government Coordinator, and other key members of the movement.
They were warmly received at the palace by the royal father, Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, in the presence of his council of chiefs.
Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Akeem Sobayo Adesina highlighted the structure and evolution of the movement, noting that it transformed from the Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) into the Omoluabi Movement. He explained that the group has since grown into a formidable political platform with strong grassroots presence.
He further stated that the movement is committed to supporting the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the senatorial ambition of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, and the governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan Yayi ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adesina also noted that the convener of the movement, Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde, a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirming his dedication to the success of all APC candidates in future elections.
In his reactions, Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo expressed appreciation to the delegation and the convener for recognizing the importance of traditional institutions and engaging royal fathers.
The monarch also expressed his willingness to host the leadership and members of the Omoluabi Movement in Ewekoro Local Government at his palace in the near future.
He concluded by offering prayers and royal blessings for the growth and success of the movement, while assuring the delegation of his support.
