The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC in Ogun State has endorsed a philanthropist and US based Medical Doctor, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina as the Governorship candidate of the party.

The endorsement was announced by the NDC State Chairman, Hon. Femi Alao during a meeting held at the party's Secretariat on Wednesday where Dr. Odusina was received warmly and garnered a solid 100% endorsement by each and everyone of the 20 NDC Party's  LGA Chairmen with a rousing ovation.

The event had in attendance party leaders, members, all the 20 LG party Chairmen and supporters whom they expressed confidence in the capacity of the Governorship candidate in taking the party to a greater height. 

The party State Chairman in his speech described the Governorship candidate as the right person to be the party’s flagbearer ahead of the general elections.

He described her as a woman of capacity, competence, and integrity, saying that she will make the party proud.

Hon. Femi Alao added that the the party has decided to endorse her as Governorship candidate because of her commitment, readiness, and unwavering determination to provide purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and people-centered development across the state when she emerges as Governor in the 2027 general elections.

Dr. Odusina in her speech appreciated the party for believing in her and endorsing her as the Governorship candidate of the party.

She said NDC remains the only party that can liberate Nigerians from insecurity and hardship, urging Nigerians to support the party to win in 2027.

Dr. Odusina maintained that she is in the race to bring development-driven leadership to the state and to ease the effect of economic hardship on the residents.

It was gathered that the NDC Governorship candidate has completed a full visitation tour to all three Senatorial districts, the flag bearer makes history as Ogun State's very first female to succeed in securing the position in any major party in Ogun State.
